The short version
Upvoty is the cheap, simple Canny alternative — a board-first portal with voting, a roadmap, and a changelog. Its 2.0 rebuild did one thing very right: it killed tracked-user limits and moved to flat pricing. Credit where due.
But two gaps remain. There is no real capture widget in the core product — the "Simple Feedback Widget" is a separate side product bolted onto a hosted portal. And the AI and automation layer — MCP, API, webhooks — is locked to the top plan, with no free tier to start on.
